Jesse La Plante graduated from Central Michigan University in May of 2007
with a Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism. He was honored with several
awards during his senior year at the University, which holds the title of most
accredited journalism school in the Midwest.
Jesse worked as a photojournalist for a few years before exploring other
photographic avenues. He now focuses primarily on studio, travel and wedding
photography, yet continues to utilize a journalistic approach in much of his work.
In the summer months, Jesse exhibits and sells his photography at fine art fairs,
namely The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair and “Art in the Park” in Royal Oak, Michigan.
The former bestowed upon him the designation of “youngest artist” for six years in a row.
Something of a Jack-of-all-trades, Jesse has worked as a street-performing
juggler & psaltery player, written two screenplays and drawn a nationally-published
comic strip. He has traveled through 15 foreign countries and 38 United States.
Jesse currently lives in Boulder, Colorado.
